The sweetest London family photoshoot

Girls hold her shoe in pram on London family photoshoot

This London family photoshoot was a delight from start to finish.

I love hearing stories, stories of people’s lives, the memories they make and their own unique routine. This little lady was a lockdown baby, and because of that, she had had a very similar routine for so many months of her young life.

When we had our initial chat, her Mum was keen to capture this routine, as it had formed  a backbone of her life during such a history defining time. Alannah won’t remember this time, but in ten years, when no doubt 2020 will be studied in history, she will be able to take these photographs in to school and show what she was doing while the world stopped.

This is why I love photoshoots at home, or where a family makes all their memories. Photographs aren’t just for now, and when you look  back in 10 years time, you want to see your life as it was.

They live a stone’s throw from Wandsworth common, and each day, would take their exercise time to walk around the common and feed the ducks. Alannah would also pick daisies at her house before they left and carry them through out the walk, to show them to the ducks. We followed this routine, and it was so sweet to see Alannah in the park with her favourite ducks, all with names and personalities in her own world.

These small details will be forgotten in a few years, as personalities change and life moves on. It is these precise moments that I am passionate about remembering. Photographs only increase in value over time, until one day, they are completely priceless.
